Demographics:
According to the 2002 Census, Grant County’s population is 31,002 people. Our labor force draws from a four–county area of Catron, Grant, Hildalgo and Luna counties. |

Education
Grant County has two public consolidated school districts, Silver and Cobre. They provide comprehensive public education at locations throughout Grant County. The schools offer a blend of education and community activities, and are frequently counted among the best-performing schools in the state. |

Employers
Mining is the largest base employer, with retail and services employing the largest number in non-base jobs. Area employers report that ads for entry-level workers often generate in excess of 100 applications per opening. |

Workforce:
